Being Here – Poem Day 31
Poem – When I let things slide too easily
We remain within the theme of boundaries and fairness, but today the focus shifts.
After meeting moments of vigilance and defence, today’s poem turns toward the other side of the same system — when boundaries become hard to feel at all.
Day 31 is a functional poem for times when keeping the peace comes at the cost of self-erasure, when limits soften so much they disappear.
This poem does not encourage confrontation.
It does not ask you to explain yourself, or justify where you stand.
Instead, it supports boundary presence from the inside — allowing firmness to return without aggression, pressure, or defence.
As always, nothing is required.
Listening is enough.

Poem – When I let things slide too easily
There is space here to take up the room you occupy.
Nothing needs to be given away.
The body is already present, held by its own weight, supported without leaning outward.
Awareness settles inside your outline, not drifting toward others, not scanning for approval, just noticing where you are.
Muscles gather gently, not tightening, not retreating, simply recognising their place.
Breath moves quietly, not held back, not offered forward, staying with you.
Warmth remains close, contained rather than dispersed, steady without needing to be shared.
The chest finds its own firmness, not armoured, not collapsed, able to stay upright without apology.
What belongs to you stays here. Your time. Your effort. Your limits.
The body recognises that saying nothing does not mean agreeing,
and holding ground does not require conflict.
There is a sense of being intact,
even while others move nearby,
a quiet solidity that doesn’t need permission.
This moment does not ask you to push back.
It does not ask you to explain.
You remain here, inside your own boundary,
allowed to keep what is yours without guilt.
For now, that is enough.
