Poem – Enoughness
Enoughness
There is a hillside where the wind keeps its own counsel,
where the grasses lean and whisper not of striving
but of simply being touched by light.
Go there in your mind.
Stand in that wide, forgiving field.
Feel how the earth lifts you without asking for improvement,
how the sky recognises you without needing achievement.
Every blade of grass holds its place without trying.
Every bird sings without wondering if its song will be heard.
You, too, were made for this.
For the soft yielding of the chest,
the quiet rising of the back,
the gentle truth that what you offer does not need applause to be real.
Somewhere within you is a pulse that says simply:
Enough.
Enough for this moment,
enough for this life,
enough for the quiet dignity of being here at all.
Stand in that field a little longer.
Let the warmth gather in your hands.
Let the breath widen the cage around your heart.
And listen—
not for praise,
but for the small, certain voice that rises like morning inside your own chest:
“I count.”
