MFL Lesson 8 Notes

My dear friends,
Lovely to see you have completed the last session in the MBCT-L course.

It has been a real pleasure to facilitate this course and your mindfulness learning.

I realise there may be a tendency to think that our last session together was the end of the programme, so as we move into Week 8, I would like to invite you to reconnect in your mind with our last session together as we explored the ways that we can maintain our practise and make mindfulness part of our everyday life.

Lesson 8 is the rest of our lives if you wish to make mindfulness part of it. Knowing that research shows that it is the de-centring (ability to view thoughts, emotions and reactivity as just something I experience) that will make the biggest different to our lives.

Home practice week 8.
The home practise for week 8 is to re-read all lesson notes and your own journal, contemplating on how much you have learned.
Now it is to continue your home practise as you feel is best for you committed to yourself.

To take your mindfulness further and keep developing the skills and new ways of being, there are many roads to explore.

All day practice. I offer an all day practice every month (tend to be 2nd/3rd weekend) and it is facilitated to support all levels of practice from beginner to advanced. You can find details of the schedule on the website.

Daily practice – chose a theme to practice and use the provided guided meditations to explore further how mindfulness can help you.

Weekly practice. I offer a weekly practice every Thursday 06:30 – 07:00 UK time, and it is facilitated to support all levels of practice from beginner to advanced. You can find details of the schedule on the website.

Also, you a welcome to do the course as many times as you like. It is common practice to keep taking the courses as you learn more each time.

Most importantly, practice with your heat.
